    Hello All,

I'm basically looking for a good informational primer on the use of MIDI. I understand the concept, and what it can do, but I'm having some issues getting it going. Does anyone have any good websites or books they can point me at?

I have a MIDI keyboard (Yamaha PRS-248,) Game Port to MIDI converter cable, and I'm using Reason 2.0 and Cubase SX. I'm looking to use the keyboard as an interface to the synths that are provided in both of the above mentioned programs. All Yamaha could provide me is the "MIDI implementation chart."

    Any Info Will Help!

    Hey Ted,

    Try Midi for the Proffesional

It's a great book and it's the Music Tech 101 text book at Berklee. It's got everything you need to know.
