I wasn't quite sure where to put this thread, But here goes:

I play in a live hip hop group and its just bass/drums/tables as backing. I try to make things interesting and i keep thinking that i could be doing something with my feet as well as hands. I was wondering where i could find a foot-pedal keyboad (ala organ) that I could connect to some sort of midi synth.

If anyone has has any knowledge on this, I would appreciate it.

I know of two makers of MIDI foot controllers:

Roland makes the PK-5, one octave MIDI foot controller, looks like organ pedals. Do some digging on http://www.rolandus.com to find more info on it.

Fatar makes two versions of what you're looking for, a 13 pedal (one octave) and a 17 pedal version. Here's a link http://studiologic.net/mp-113.htm

I have a PK-5 and it works great, I'm still building up my MIDI stuff so I'm not using it to much right, but will as soon as I can get the rest of the MIDI gear that I want.

  3. or you could be like Geddy and play one of those, a regular synth, a bass, and sing at the same time ;)
