MIDI Transcriber

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Flea Claydirnt, May 7, 2001.

  1. I read somewhere on here about a program that takes a midi file and transcribes it to sheet music. Does anyone here knows where I can download a program like this.

    Try this site, www.notation.com

All I did was a web search for music+transcription+software

Most programs that do this sort of thing aren't free, and any serious music recording program like Cakewalk, Cubase or Logic will have this capability, but unless you want a full featured recording setup on your computer, that's getting towards the top end of choices.
  3. Thanks GarethBull. My searches came up empty. I'll try it out and see how it goes. If you or anyone else knows where some good collections of MIDI files are it would be cool to post them here.
