Mighty Mite neck problem

OK so I built a Frankenfender from parts including a Mighty Mite neck. Not sure whether it was the SD pickup, the 500k CTS pots, the Hipshot tuners or the combination but it sounded and played better than my MIJ P bass (with Warmoth neck) and my MIJ 62 RI.

I think the wood is still curing (shrinking) because the ends of the frets are now protruding off the edge of the neck, making a saw out of it....

Question is, how hard it would be for a luthier to 'trim' the frets?

    Thanks, Bernie

This is normal. It's called 'fret sprout' and it happens when the temperature/humidity levels change. It would be easy job for a luthier.
