I just purchased a Maple Mighty Mite un-finished P Bass neck. I have a can of gloss nitro and a can of satin nitro. When spraying the fretboard, do I tape off the frets or just spray over them? Does it matter which I use first? Satin for the back of the neck or Gloss for the fretboard?

    Thanks in advance.

If you are going to do a level and polish on the frets to do a proper set up, then it doesn't matter if you spray the frets. If not, you will be better served to lay a narrow piece to cover the crown. As for which first, I would do the neck first, and fretboard last, but that is just me, either way will work if you tape carefully, and finish sand properly.
