Saw this in a music store in Niigata City, Japan early this year. I've never seen this for sale in the US or in Singapore (where I currently live).

Goes for about 70,000Yen (Approx. US$700). Passive, lined fretless, tea sunburst finish, no pickguard, and thankfully, not thrashed a la Jaco. Amazing tone and sustain... in all honesty, never played a better MIA Fender fretless. You'd think
"continuum" was recorded on this. I know that there is a MIA signature "Jaco" Jazz Bass which retails for US$1799, so my guess is that this MIJ "Jaco" bass is only for sale in Japan.

I'm kicking myself for not buying it! Anyone else seen this in Japan or elsewhere?
