I've decided to get rid of all my skinny neck basses so I'm listing this sweetheart for sale. Medium scale Fender-shaped Fernandes PJ from the early 80's. This bass is in the same league as the JV and SQ Fenders of the same era. I got this from Bass japan Direct in December of 2016, rights before CITES took effect. The bass sounded great at bedroom volume, but the pickups cut in and out playing with the band. I replaced the P with an old Fernandes I had laying around, and I don't use the bridge pup so I clipped the wires off. CTS pots and Switchcraft jack installed as well as Dunlop dual design straplocks.

The bass is in good shape for its age. A ding here or there but nothing worth noting. The finish has dulled from 35+ years, and the once gold hardware has its fair share of patina. Weighs 8.8 lbs. If this one had a thicker neck I'd keep it.

    $495 + shipping IMG_20191108_162342059. IMG_20191108_162404483. IMG_20191108_162518188.

Close up of the gold hardware and the ebony thumbrest. Note the round piece of tape disguised as a knob.

Mooneyes sticker where the Fender hootnanny bottom is supposed to be.

No side fret markers so I made my own with nail polish.
