The bass is in near mint condition except for a chip of paint on the side of the body (See pics), and a tiny chip down by the control knobs. These don't affect the playablity in any way. The pic showing the chip makes the bass look like it has some silver spots like the paint has come off. This is NOT the case, it must have been the lighting when the picture was taken. Other than what I described, the body is in mint condition. Asking price is $1150. Buyer to pay $25 shipping anywhere in the lower 48. Email or call me with any questions.

How much does the bass weigh? How is the sound and the B string?

    Thanks

  3. I've never put the bass on a scale (and I don't own or I'd do it now), but I would guess around 9 pounds (maybe a little under 9 lbs). Probably about average weight for a 5-string. It doesn't seem extra heavy or light. If anything, I'd say it's on the lighter side of the spectrum but closer to the middle. Again, it's just a guess, comparing it with other basses I've played.

The sound is definately old schoolish. Think 5-string jazz bass. It's a very nice sound in the studio. You can check out how another of my Lull basses sounds that is nearly the same bass in a Modern version at this link:

The bass is on Winter Wonderland (again, it isn't the bass I'm selling, but one that's nearly identical). Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm just curious... what are the specs on the bass you played in the recording? (fretboard, pickups, preamp, etc.) Do you know what strings you used?
