Mike great shot, I would suggest you double brace the jazz though, as I remember it's heavy enough to pull some studs off the wall! :D

  7. Very cool! It's fun to see them all in one place.

I heard that it was bad to hang your basses. I know almost every music store I've been in does it so I didn't think anything of it... Somewhere I remember reading about trussrod/neck problems.

    Have you had any issues?

Never heard that before. No problems as of yet (about 2 years I've been doing it).

    Nice collection there! ;)

How much for the Modulus Genesis 5? What kind of pickups/pre-amp does it have?

The Modulus is $1750 shipped to your door (in the USA-elsewhere we'll talk)
    Bart p-ups & Bart 3 band pre.

It's my last "pretty" bass (ie. nice top) so it will be had to let it go!

 Please explain ... I have the same, but with Bart soapbars ... I really love the tone of the Genesis. Do you like the Fbass and Sadowsky tone better, or is it just a matter of style (which IMHO is a perfectly justifiable reason) :D

BTW ... beautiful family portrait

It's a great bass, I just prefer how the Sadowsky sounds and feels. I like the Barts, but it's a little to "active" sounding for me. And to swap out the p-ups and pre for something else, well, I already have a 5 that IMO does it like no other.

I notice you kept the Sadowsky Metros, but sold the NYC ... any comments there? There's a bit of a price difference, but I've heard they are more or less equals (perhaps a bit less choice with the Metros)
