JimK got me thinking over in the "Last Album you.." Thread

What would be your favorite Miles Davis Albums?

    I'd have to include:
Kind of Blue, Cooking, In A Silent Way, On The Corner, Ascenseur Pour.

But there is a lot to choose from. I don't know what Carter/Williams record I like the best for instance

I love the older stuff too, but Bitches Brew is on my personal top-five-albums-ever list.

    I promise, I will name 5...
Couple years ago, I stumbled upon Ascenseur Pour L'echafaud on HULU. Ever seen it? It's worth watching...Miles' music fits in nicely.
Without much thought, I would go with something LIVE...Plugged Nickel, Four and More, etc.

...took me along time to actually like this. I bought the LPs back when I was buying Jazz Fusion albums. I had read that BB was an early Fusion album...so I pounced. And then I hated it! Fusion?!?!
Anyway, 25 years later, I began to like it.
    Bought the Complete set, too.
Definitely a blueprint for the early Weather Report albums.
This will be in my Top-5 Miles albums.

I used to have a memory. Let's see.....

    Live Evil
    A Tribute to Jack Johnson
    Miles Smiles
    Sketches of Spain
    Four and More
    Bitches Brew
    In a Silent Way
    Kind of Blue

The first Miles' record I bought: Miles in the Sky

    (Obviously, many, many more.)

It changes with me a lot, sometimes I want the groove of Michael Henderson or Marcus, other times the 60's stuff. I have a shelf of just Miles stuff, sometimes it takes me awhile just to make up my mind when perusing what I'm in the mood for.
