Hi, I had a thread earlier asking you to recommend a bass in the £/$500 range that would suit a heavy, grungey sound with a high build quality. So far i've heard back that I should be looking at MIM Fenders and some Ibanez models. But the MIMs I tried were pretty bad in terms of build quality while the couple of Ibanez's I looked at were quite uncomfortable to play for me - too thin a neck.
I really just want something that's a sturdy, decent sounding, comfortable to play workhorse and now that i've seen so many different names of basses since coming here i'm just really confused.
