Hi I just purchased a 1999 MIM Fender jazz bass that has the same (neck size) pickups in the bridge & neck positions. I was wondering if anyone has switched out their stock MIM pickups for two SD Antiquity II neck pickups or any other single coil neck size jazz pickups.

  2. You won't be able to humcancel that way.

I was wondering about that? still on the fence about why not. North/South wire? This is whats going to lead me to start winding my own I can feel it now. Lucky I have Lindy Fralin right down the street here in Richmond to help me out if I just give up.

  4. The pickups need to be RWRP to humcancel.
OTOH, you may be able to flip one coil around if you are comfortable modifying the bobbin to get the wires to exit with the coil flipped in the cover. From there you just wire one pickup backwards and it will humcancel when both pickups are used.
