    I saw them first! They're also doing a Electric Blue and Dark Grey color. I still need to pick up that P-bass.

    Welcome to last month :p

    They look pretty good huh? I played one at the local Memorial Day sale. I'm still thinking I might hit one.... actually, Hmmmm... did they do a natural MIM Tele? I really want a tele in ash but will not pay a grand for a MIA (not worth it for the minimal home use it would get)

    Yes, they are making MIM Strats and Teles in them.

  7. Out of curiosity how much were they going for? Standard Mexican prices..or were they a bit higher cause they were limited?

    I saw the jazz at GC for $489

  11. I shop the same GC as xcental34x, and I've played one of those jazzes there. It came in 2nd to the MM S.U.B., and I still want it so bad! It was the best sounding MIM I laid hands on! If it had been priced a bit more reasonably, I would have went with it.

    I don't know though, if what KenToby said in the other thread, about the pickups being upgrades, was accurate, maybe it's worth the price! Although, a brand new Standard MIM Jazz can be had here for $350 plus change right now. Still, it is absolut sweetness. Hell, I wish I had never found this thread now. I'm having thoughts about switching again. :rolleyes:

    For what it's worth though, I picked up one of GC's little ad books when I was up there the other day, and I was sitting in the car reading it earlier. The ash tele's were featured in it, and it said the natural ash finish was a GC exclusive. It doesn't say anything about any electronics upgrades or anything though. $139 is a lot to pay if the only thing upgraded is the looks. :meh:

    Can anybody else confirm any additional differences in these and the Standards? I certainly don't mean anything personal towards Toby, just got the habit of double checking everything now, from the gf, she finally pounded it through. lol It was the best sounding MIM I played, so something besides the looks is different. It looked and felt as though more care went into building it. Could that be it? Anyway, here is that ad;

    I prefer the TONE os Ash for both Bass and Guitar. it's a $$$ upgrade from alder to ash with some finished on the MIA Fenders too.

    Thanks for the heads up... hopefully I can swing one before they stop production.

  14. Stupid GC not being in Canada...just checked with a couple companies here in Canada saying that its probally just a GC thing and that they cant get them. :spit:
