So, if you were in my shoes, and you had a MIM p bass that sounded really flat and boring, what would you do besides a better setup to give it growl? It doesnt suit my style at all because for some reason mine sounds worse then all the other mim ps ive tried i think i got a lemon or something :crying:

new bridge, new pickups, maybe a new nut

and if your feeling really adventerous you could get a jazz bridge pickup added(jazzes are known for growl), or a MM humbucker

Buy a good amp :) .......just kidding ( unless of course the other p's you tried were all played through a different rig than yours.

I would slap it a Seymour Duncan SPB3 pickup. If that don't bring it around nothing will.

Strings? Maybe you need some stainless steel strings?

I would go for the more substantial bridge and a Nordstrand P pickup. Also, adding a J pickup is not a bad idea either, but I would still replace the P pickup either way.
