MIM Squier?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by ChaosGwar, Jul 24, 2002.

  1. I e-mailed the guy selling it on Ebay, because I've always thought Squiers were made in Korea, China, and Indonesia.

Was there a time when Squiers were made in Mexico or is this information misleading?

I can't read the writing on the headstock, it's too blurry.

The Serial number starts with MN784....

If this is a MIM Squier, what years were Squiers made in mexico?

  2. Yep! Some Squier's were made in Mexico. I am thinking that it was in the early 90's. I have seen Squier Jazz basses MIM that say Fender in black Fender logo and a small Squier at the end of the headstock..these Fender Squier Jazzes didn't have a metal control plate the p/g was kind of like the Hoppus, pickguard/control plate all in one piece.
