    What does MIM(when concerning Fender basses)mean/stand for?

    The country they're made in.
    MIM = Made In Mexico
    MIJ = Made In Japan
    MIA = Made In America

    as a newbie myself, i learned a lot from looking at the FAQs... for a simple question, try starting there...

    but as has already been stated, it means made in mexico

    MIA=over-priced :cool:
    MIJ=dollar for $$,awesome.

    MIM isn't rubbish, I've heard some quite sweet sounding MIMs, and used MIA's are a pretty good price I think. but thats just my opinion

    MIJ = Japanese Fender = Sucks
    MIM = Mexican Fender = Sucks

    I'm not much of a Fender fan. :bag:
