Mind Bomb

Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by Jumping_Bomb_Angel, Apr 28, 2002.

  1. Mind Bomb is a recording by british Band The The. Its one of the most tastefully produced and mixed albums of all time, IMO. Johnny Marr rules, so does Matt Johnsons vocals. All the songs are sweet on this album, especially 'Gravitate to Me'.

Im interested to hear what others think of this album, and other works by Matt Johnson.

  2. I got that album in a charity shop- it's okay- the single "beaten generation" being a standout track.

but The the's "uncertain smile" on the Soul mining album is a classic- the whole song and its production, the bassline, the bass tone, the guitar part, even Jools Holland(who I usually don't like)'s piano solo, seems so perfect.

"jealous of youth" also has a great bassline.
