Does anybody have/ know of any company that makes mini basses....not like tiny....just for bass players smaller in size...nothing custom made....just something you could find at your local music store? Im teaching my girlfriend to play bass and she is pretty small and she can barely reach the first fret!
Would the smaller size effect the sound?

and just a brilliant/brainless thought since in live in Hawaii....has anybody every seen a Bass Ukulele?

I've never played one, so I'm not sure how it sounds, but it's a shorter scale.

Bronco with new pickups, Ephi EB-0..... Anything shortscale...

Bronco's aren't bad, just their pickups are horrid. I've heard that Vintage Precision replacements (the single coil precision pickups) fit Broncos.

  6. IMO the Ashbory Bass is not a bass but a joke...

I'd say Squier Bronco with a different P/U

If you do get a Fender Bronco Bass, a very good replacement pickup is the Seymour Duncan Hot Rails. The pre-57 P pickups won't fit, and the Hot Rails don't have individual pole pieces. They are also humbuckers.

I hear those are being discontinued ??

Pity, if that's true......innovation is always worth acknowledging. (sp???)
