Does anybody know if there are any companies making mini-basses? Something along the lines of the Epiphone Vee-Wee kids flying V guitars?
The last I knew, Fernandes made a "travel" bass called the Nomad, and DeArmond makes the Ashbory. Those are if you want a REALLY small bass. If you're just looking for a shorter scale, Danelectro, Epiphone, Fender, Squire and even Warwick all make short scale basses. Just so you all don't ask about the Warwick: you can special order any bolt on neck bass with a choice of scale lengths. They say on the site that you can get BO basses with 30",32" or 35" as an option.
Thats not really what I'm looking for, I'm familiar with all of those. What I want is like a 1/2 scale Explorer bass. Something with like a 20" scale length and tiny in size. I reckon it'd have to be tuned adgb or something to sound decent but it'd be cool.
