Hi guys, I'm a bit of an effects virgin so this is probably a really stupid question..but hey, only one way to learn.. I recently purchased the eh mini qtron (for de fonk) and I like it (does xactly what it says on the tin) however I find when I engage the unit the volune goes through the roof, now in the interests of saving my poor speakers, is there any way to control the volume of the pedal??, I've tried putting it in a chain with a compressor after it and all that does is kill the filter effect. suggestions? cheers.
Hi Murf, This is a pain in the a*** thing that happens with a lot of pedals. When you switch the effect in you get a massive boost in gain. You could put a volume pedal after the q-tron OR you could get the pedal modified by getting a gain control fitted.
Cheers Paul, I was afraid of that, I dont think I'll bother with a volume pedal (no point in forking out cash for something I'll barely use)instead I'll probably get an electronics type mate to rig some kind of limiter to it.
Not a huge problem at all! One smart guy just installed some volume control in my miniQ - works perfect!
Dontcha just hate that? My full size Q-Tron+ does that and it really pisses me off! I've actually found a use for the volume boost in one particular song, but it's still a pain overall!
