Mini switch "pop" noises ?

After replacing a blend pot with a mini 3 way on/on/on switch as a pickup selector, I have those "pop" noises when I use it. Everything seems to be correctly wired as it works great, except the noises. The original blend pot has a ground wire on it, which is not on the switch because it's not necessary from what I understand. No grounding issue on the bass, it's grounded by the bridge (active bass pickups-preamp by the way). So, I guess it from the switch itself ? After some researches, it's often mentioned that it can be fixed by soldering 1M or 2M2 resistors "across the terminals of the switch".
My question is: how to do this exactly with the resistors ? (if everything's really normal) ?
    Thanks !
