    Hello All,
After reading all the rave reviews about Pete Skjold's basses I had to try one myself and I must say they were correct. This bass has the new Pickups and Preamp and sounds amazing. The preamp is probably the most versitile that I have ever used and all the tone are usable!
I have not however been able to get use to the 18mm string spacing. (old dog/new tricks):p
This bass is about 6 months old and is in EX+++ condition.
I have 1.2 megapixel pics if you want to e-mail me for them.
    Please e-mail at
    redeyeseamus1@yahoo.com

Here are the same pics upload at a smaller size

Please feel free to make me a $ offer or a Trade offer.
    Thanks

I made the sound clip available via my myspace site.
    just go to

    www.myspace.com/redeyeseamus1

then click on the song "skjold"

its a little tapping thing I did running straight to the board.
Skjolds are incredible basses for tapping!

love that Burl redwood top and with the ash body transition, it looks killer.

    Great tapping.
    Clean and something to behold.

Also the bass sounds great tapped, apparently.

wow. nice! sounds MUCH heavier! :)

I can't afford to buy this one right now, but if you're into it, I'd love to hear some straight up fingerstyle, one pickup at a time and both.

Oh, I am definitely loving it! But with three in my hands already, and a fourth Skjold in the works, I should be set for at least a month or so. :ninja:

As it is, I am trying to restrain myself from buying yours!

Bump for a great bass from a great luthier! :)

I was set to grab this from the bro in Tejas but after talking to Pete came to the conclusion that it would sound too much like my Skjold Custom 5. That being said, mine sounds and plays fantasticly well, so this will make someone very happy IMHO. Pete makes killer instruments!

    Pm's answered.
Yes, the bass plays great and sounds even better. I had a chance to play through my Epifani last night with my band.
I only used a crest lt1000 power amp. I did not use my Avalon because I wanted to hear the real sound of the bass.
Man, the preamp and pickups on that bass are amazing.
    No other preamps needed!:bassist:

Guys, this is a great bass. If I did not have a bunch of Skjolds already, I'd be on it. I have talked to Pete about this bass, and there are no issues. Rickr just doesn't like the string spacing at the nut.

Bump for a great bass! :)
