Mixed Pole Jazz Pickup Alnico 2 and 5

    Been thinking about winding some Jazz Bass Pickups.
    Does anyone have any experience with using alnico 2 and 5 in the same jazz bass pickup?
    Specifically one of each type per string, such as 52 52 52 52 poles. Would it result in a combination of both types or just a mess in tone?

    man, i've never really seen traditional f-style pickups with anything but A5 all around; could be interesting.

    i could also see maybe if you didn't want to stagger the poles, you could put A2 pairs on both outside strings to mellow them a little, maybe allowing you to get the pickup a little closer without those outside strings getting too peaky (since the radius would put them closer than the middle strings).
