I'm looking into getting a SWR 2x10 and a son of bertha. I have a guy i'm waiting on to get the 2x10, which is 8 ohms. Most of the SOB's are 4ohms. would it be ok to mix these.

    P.S. i'm using an swr sm-400 and planning on bi-amping these:confused:

Wrong wrong wrong forum. This is for Amps. Try and delete this quick and move to Amps before JT or Ryan comes here and make a quick snack of you. Run!

hey, no problem alex. that's what i'm here for. off to amps we go...
  4. I think you'll be alright with that cab arrangement. Where you might get into trouble is if you were trying to run two dissimilar impedance cabs from a single channel power amp. The 4ohm cab is going to get twice the power as the 8ohm cab, but bi-amping as you intend to do, will let you control the volume to each cab and balance them out.
