Yeah, and they say he'll be able to return to *pitching* again next year, too.Wow, that's a pretty good week for most players.
They have a good shot to break the century mark thoughLooks like I will go two consecutive years without attending a Rockies game. Their last three home games are next week and I'm not available.
Could be worse. I could be a White Sox fan. I feel your pain, friends.
Not sure I need to be part of that particular history! They have a good shot to break the century mark though
Nats optioned CJ Abrams to the minors after he stayed out all night at a casino before a day game at Wrigley. Guessing he was maybe celebrating going 4 for 5 and scoring 2 runs? Yeah, he went 0-3 (with a BB) on Friday but then the whole TEAM only collected 5 hits so go figure.

He also said he didn't think it would have a negative impact on the players in the clubhouse . . . presumably with a straight face. That's such a Richard move and while it probably wouldn't be THE deciding factor for potential FA's they pursue it helps them paint the picture of what kind of organization they'd be signing with.First, Bob Nutting pulls off the jerk move of the century, then he sends his GM out there to lie to peoples face about it..
It's too bad there isn't a way to run Nutting out of the game. What a shameful human being.Tellez, 4 PA's shy of $200K bonus, cut by Pirates
Pirates GM Ben Cherington said first baseman Rowdy Tellez's potential bonus had "zero factor" in the decision to cut him before Tuesday's game.www.espn.com
Then again, if Cherington had any decency, he would have resigned before being forced to dish out that line of bull puckey.
