does this work? would i be able to put a basslines mm replacement pickup in and ibanez atk? that's my plan, but i don't really know much about replacing pickups. would i be using a passive pickup with an active preamp? i was thinking about the whole basslines system, or just the pickup, combined with the new aguilar 3 band preamp. i want a really big, bad-ass sound. anyways, let me know if the pickup will even fit in this bass. thanks.

  2. no it will not fit.

the only atk replacement pickup i know of is the same one as i popped in my ATK friday :)

www.bassculture.de sells them.. they're available in flamed maple or rosewood.

they cost about $ 100, and are handmade. but if you install one, be sure to trim the internal pot on the ATK.. it will clip your amp otherwise.. these pickups are HOT

how are they in comparison to the stock pickups on the atk's. i've heard that the stock pickups are kind of noisy. that's why i'm thinking of replacing it. ...also, what do you think as far as a preamp is concerned. let me know. thanks.
