    If you are going for closer to a true stingray sound, go with the alnico Basslines (more agressive). If you want a more mellowed out sound like a Lakland, go with the Bart.

    I prefer the 2-band pre-EB stingray tone, and I was really happy with a Basslines alnico that I tried out in my '79.

    My vote is for the Seymour Duncan Alnico replacement..More true Stingray tone with more oomph..
