MM Stingray / P-Bass / J-Bass necks....

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by hitman9696, Feb 18, 2002.

  1. How are the necks of these basses? I know the Jazz has a narrower at the nut, but is it thin? I tried the Stingray today and the neck felt very good, slim too. The P-Bass seemed to have a chubby neck, despite having the same width at the nut (1 5/8) as the Stingray. I have small hands and fingers, so the Stingray felt very good.

What are your takes on this subject?

P.S. The Stingray just rocks! Definitly my next bass!

If you like Jazz necks, you owe it to yourself to compare a Stingray against a Sterling before you buy. I thought I wanted a Stingray until I made the comparison!

I have never felt right on most Jazz necks I find them very too narrow at the nut I seem to like the
    Necks of P-Bass , Stingray's and L-2000's better
I find that the Sterling neck along with most J-Bass
are just way to thin . Necks are such a personal taste. Play played a lot of diffrant bass to find this out I went though a few Jazz's to find this out .
