Mo' Bass effects?

I'm thinking aobut buying a used swr mo bass. I really like the effects and i was wondering if anyone has any complaints about teh effects or teh head itself. And while were at it is the footswitch a good investment?? Thanks for the comments in advance. And if this shouldnt be in this forum, please move it.
