Modding to run on A/C power

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by keiththebassist, Jan 23, 2012.

  1. Hey guys,

I have some vintage pedals that were originally designed to run on battery power only, but as most of this know, it can get unreliable, annoying and costly. Has anyone out there ever modded a pedal to run it with an a/c power adapter like the 1 spot or any other kind? It seems llike it should be fairly easy but I might be over-simplifying it. Also, once the mod is done I'm not concerned with being able to run it with batteries.

    Any help would be great!

There are power supplies that include "battery clips". Iow, the power supply has a clip on the end that connects to the pedals battery clip. You want those, but I forget who makes them. It's NOT a OneSpot.
