Modern sounding bass (DJ5?)

    So here is my delema. I have a JO5 and been wanting a DJ5. In on another thread we established that these two bases use the same pu's so they would sound very similar stock. I love the way that base looks so i was thinking of getting one with the J-retro in it, I never heard a DJ5 with one in it, so would it be a much different sound then the JO5? since the JO is more vintage sounding i'm wondering if a DJ with that preamp would be different enough to warrant a purchase.

    Well, I have a DJ5 with a J-Retro but I couldn't offer you an A/B comparison to the JO5.

    Personally, I love the J-Retro. I think the sweep-able mids are the key.

    I'm pretty sure this bass has a J-Retro in it.
