    I had two realizations:
    1. It's crazy how much work can be milked out of a minimal amount of jazz harmonic vocabulary.
    2. "Bass undermines chord stability" is my new mantra.

  4. I have tried to read the book (borrowed it from a friend), but I failed.

@Don Kasper, I stopped watching after the third or fourth time the presenter talked about how Adam's found doing this or that "better than sitting in a classroom" or words to that effect. If you'll forgive me waxing philosophical, I once had a discussion which ended with someone telling me, "There are conformists and non-confirmists. The trick is to be a formist."

Dude/Perfesser - Mr. Bruce mentions "...better than sitting in a classroom...." , or words to that effect, exactly ONCE at 5:37.
Sorry to go all "Peer Review" on your statement.
    Thanks for your interest.

Don, there are other, similar things. E.g., he talks about how he composed a set of chord changes first and then a melody on top of that, and mentioned how this is the opposite of how we academics:) say one is supposed to do things.

I’m not gonna bother and quote chapter and verse beyond that. You get my drift.
