Has anyone ever placed an LED (9v) system in their line driven a/b or eq channel footswitches? I would prefer to run the power via a barrell or mini plug rather than a battery. Is this type of mod even economically sound vs. purchasing a new a/b/y such as a whirlwind etc?

i would like to try the mods myself. so if anyone knows of such a site or can steer me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.

    thanks

    Define line-driven.

If you mean it doesn't require a power source (passive, mechanical switching) it's possible, but a little annoying.

I didn't do a line-powered system.. I just replaced the SPST switches with SPDT or DPDT with one throw switching the line level, and the other switching the LED. then you can just add it in on your regular 9V source
