modifying a preamp with blend for single pickup

So Im trying to figure out how to modify a few preamps I have aquired to function with a single pickup bass. Both of them have "blend controls" that I won't need.

One preamp is a bassmods and one is a cheapo artec.

Is there a kind of universal way I can cut off or otherwise ditch the blend knob and wire the single pickup to the preamp? In both cases I would wire the leads from both pickups to the blend pot and then there are two leads coming from the blend pot to other sources (circuit board on the artec and passive switch on the bassmods) can I wire the hot pickup lead directly to one of these wires? Would I be better off wiring it normally, cranking the blend, and hiding the knob in the control cavity if there is room? Thanks for the help!
  2. Just remove the pot.

Wire the PUP to where the signal from the blend pot goes. Disconnect all the wires from the blend, and there should be a hot wire going to the rest of the circuit. Connect the hot of the PUP there, and ground the other lead from the PUP.
