Hi, I just need some reassurance that I can use my Ampeg BSE410HLF cab, rated 400 watts @ 4 ohms - as an extension cab for my Ampeg BA-210 combo.

It says on the back of my BA-210 combo: Rated Output - 283 Watts @ 8 ohms / 450 Watts @ 4 ohms. But what confuses me is it also says right above the connector on the combo amp "Ext Spkr Out 8 ohms".

So my question is can I actually use the cab with the BA210?

I am terrible at figuring ohms out :D Thanks!!

No, you can't. The amp handles a minimum of 4 ohms impedance, but the internal speaker is 8 ohms, so adding another external 8 ohm cab brings the total impedance down to 4 ohms. That's why the external speaker jack says 8 ohms.
