Some years ago I wanted a Modulus badly, could not afford it at that time. 5 years later: I got one at last, I had to let the Warwick LX6 go to get this one, I miss the mid definition of the Warwick, but the playability, fast response and piano like sound gets me. The 35" scale has affected me somewhat playing in the low register, but i have to adjust technique thats all, the b string is great
Congrats! I tried to return the quilt top Genesis 5 back to Modulus, and the guy was like, "Just hold on to it." It was a loaner to record with.
Nice man, one day i hope to do the 5 year later dream. a nice 7 string ritter sounds nice...... Nice catch man. Ive always liked the "Piano" type sound you talk of.
Yes, I did! It was already at a good Buy it now price, but I contacted the seller and made a direct arrangement. It really turned out good. One thing that I didnt expect, was the preamp. I expected a regular 9 volt NTMB Preamp in there but when I tweaked the eq I felt that they interacted with each other a lot. To my surprise I opened the electronic compartment and found the same preamp that I ordered on my DP custom a while ago.. the NTS2MB 18 VOLT!! That preamp is great, It kind of needs to get used to the overlapping of the frequencies, because it does react different than others, but the tones are there! I will check later what kind of barts it has, and if they are Dual Coils Im going to put some Series/parallel switches on each one to have more sounds.
ya pronto te caigo loco, para conocer tu nuevo hijo! te felicito loco, ya t voy a llamar jaja it s a very good looking bass! I 'll hear it soon! hehe congrats!
