Bah. Give me a PBR.
I would rather have a Hamms. Or a Lucky Lager. Or Carling's Black Label. As you can tell, my taste buds are defective.
Hurrah! Now they will be able to more effciently produce more preservative-laden, freezer-clogging mediocre-at-best beers. Happy Day.
Guiness/Sam Adams ---> Where it's at.
Hey now. Their isnt a THING wrong with Black Label.
I just said PBR for comic effect, that stuff is really bad.
I had a funny experience at a bar once, I sitting there talking to a few friends, when this Wookee comes in and instead utilizing the other 20 feet of unoccupied bar space, he decides to order his beer about a foot away from me. Of course, he starts talking to me as if we were childhood pals and about how PBR was the only thing he ever drank, so on and on. So He asks for two PBRs and when the bar keep tells him the price (3 dollars for two, all others Domestics are close to double that) the dude about has a cow about how that was to high. The bar tender tells him to pay and to %^&* off. After a heated debate (I moved away from him in case anything was about to happen) the dude pays and then tries to get all buddy-buddy with the bar tender. And was adament about tipping the bar keep, even after the dude had thrown the tip money on the ground in front of bar.
Guess that's what drinking PBR will do for you.
I am extemely bummed about this Molson was my *last resort* beer. If the bar/pub did not have any good beer, I could always get an Ex. Sigh.
i never knew coors were a public company and not just that, they're worth a **** load of money. They're worth more than big computing companies and mining companies. Says a lot for our dependence on alcohol.
Maybe this will make my job at the liquor store easier in the future
i don't get the significance
will they stop selling either of the beers?
Sorry I wasn't very clear. It is more of an moral dillema. The Coors family has know ties with White Supremacists and I have always boycotted their beers for this reason. Now what do I do when there are really no alternatives
So much for Molson's "I am Canadian" commercials.
Ha! They will still run them. No I am not bitter.
drink european beer?
The only real effect of this merger is now Molson will have an American plant in Denver, thus losing the "Imported" label and making the price for Americans cheaper. Canadians aren't really effected, other than Coors will probably be cheaper in Canada now.
Pretty soon, one company will make everything.
Get used to it.
Personally, I like either Sam Adams (always a good decision ) or German beer.
Oopps. Almost forgot my new favorite: www.brooklynbrewery.com
I never took the tour, but had a few in the Brooklyn Brewery pub recently.
The Brooklyner Weisse is out of this world.
i might make a thread about the procter&gamble and gilette merger.
well you could drink miller, budweiser or rolling rock. Id suggest rolling rock (its the best of both worlds) and yes i am old enough to drink. see over here in ireland we dont have **** laws that allow someone at 18 to hold a gun and drive but not drink.
Did you know that America is ranked EIGHTH in the world for beer consumption?
We really need to pick that up.
Hetsscaryguy, whereabouts are you in Ireland?
A very good friend of mine is over there right now, tearing up Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. (his parent's hometown)
I must get back there soon.
