So have the Dutch finally acknowledged that Ruud Van Nistellrooy is a good player and worth a place in the starting lineup? We've known about this for quite a while over here!! ;)

I remaked to a celleague at work earlier this week 'Do you think we;ve just made Holland angry.....?'

And sadly, I said something yesterday 'I reckon they'll gub us 6 nothing....'

    Sometimes I hate being right!

Fortunately I didn't see the game, but saw the golas this morning on the news. Good goals, but they shouldn't have been allowed to happen, and from set pieces as well!

I think we just made one step forward, and about 8 back:bawl:

I heard a soundbite on the radio from a player

    "We were unlucky"

Sorry IMHO 6-0 is not unlucky but outclassed.

    (Sorry Johnny).

They were unlucky they got drawn against Holland and not Wales - that was the only way another home nation was going to make it!! ;)

Hey CS - no apology needed....I'm guessing our man was trying to save face - when indeed there was no point. We certainly weren't unlucky:rolleyes:

North of the border we call that kind of incident a 'right royal humping'! (Mods - I don't mean that phrase to offend, if you feel it necessary, please edit this - and accept my apologies.....it is what it's called here though!):(
