Monitoring with a combo amp

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by jumbosilverette, Jan 2, 2006.

  1. I've got a dilemma and someone must have an answer...

I play with a uke group, about 20 instruments all unamplified. I use a Peavey Microbass. It's got a headphone out and a speaker out, but both defeat the main speaker when you plug in.

I want to wear headphones while playing so I could hear myself better without turning up the volume. Is there some box or something which will let me run headphones while keeping the amp speaker on?

    Thanks and Happy New Year!

I've never used one but this little guy looks cool.

Maybe plug your bass into it and feed both you phones and amp?

If you're going to be spending $50, you might as well pick up a Behringer mini mixer for the same amount of money. You can plug into it, set everything flat, then run it out to your amp, and still use the headphone jack for yourself.

  5. That's a good solution. Thanks And thank you Joe. I knew there must be someway to do this, short of re-wiring my amp.
