For those who don't know Scary Pockets, they mainly play funk(y) covers of recent hits. It's a vintage vibe with lots of Rhodes, minimalist guitar, and basses that usually at least sound like they're strung with flats. The band is a collective with the keys player (also the CEO of Patreon) and guitarist the only constants. It's fun for me to see Mono in this context, laying way back when needed but still getting in licks in spots. (His Sandberg sounds like it's wearing rounds.) They've posted three clips with him so far; I noticed he gets featured billing in the second and third ones. The singer for this one happens to be the guy from Vintage Trouble. Maiya Sykes is one of my favorite recent singers; she's done great work with Postmodern Jukebox.
