    it is indeed Robert.

    And Moog is pronounced with the same vowel sound as toad.

    Damn, I always thought it was pronounced like it's spelled, as in the same vowel sound as SPOON.

    Well, you can't blame me, can you...

  5. Thanks people! I thought it might be Robert, but I wasn't in the slightest bit sure.

    :cool:

    And I knew it was pronounced as it is, it's been stamped into me by the old-old advert on display in the keyboard studio here at college.It proudly states;

    "In vogue - Moog!"

    Which suggests it's the same vowel sound as vogue, which in turn is the same as toad.

    :cool:

    Only I wasn't smart enough to come up with a rhyme for it....

  7. It's Dr. Robert Moog (Cornell Ph.D '65), thank you very much.

    I've always heard Bob Moog. Oh wait Bob is short for Robert:p

    yeah and Cornell sucks, if by "sucks" you mean "is one of the best schools in the country". Ithaca is way too cold for me though.

    Thanks. That's Mr. Feynman at his best. Short and thick, as we say.
