So I'm completely new to synth technology and all this so I'm sorry if this sounds confusing. Basically recently I've been wanting to recreate some of the sounds in Tom Sawyer and YYZ so I can try to replicate what Geddy does but I don't have the money to buy an actual foot pedal. So what I'm thinking is just turning a computer keyboard into a pedal by stripping most of the keys away. I found this VST Taurus by Smart Electronix - Synth (Analogue / Subtractive) VST Plugin but for some reason, it won't work with Ableton or any other DAW's. Does anybody know any good (preferably free) alternatives I can use?

Any analog synth emulator would do. I dit it once (the sound in Tom Sawyer) with TAL Noise Maker

    TAL Software
