  1. moogerfooger envelope filter
    opinions? i can get one in pretty good condition with the expression pedal for about half the price of the single unit... do you think its worth it. I have a wah already but i wanna get just a little bit more funky.

    I have had mine for 2 yrs. No problems. I don't think much of the expression pedal.
  4. quick question... should it go in the effect loop or with my other stompers

    put it 1st in line. right after your bass.

    Yup, you should put it 1st.Putting other effects before an envelope filter can mess with how it reacts with your bass. You want a clean, uncorupted signal going to it. Unless you use an octave pedal. In that case you should put your octave 1st. Figuring out an effect chain can be confusing. Just expeirement, and see what is right for you. You are gonna love this thing man. It's like a mu-tron on steroids.
  8. and my fuzz and overdrive should go last... right before the amp right?
  9. Actually it's best to use your overdrives first in the line that way you get a cool little cherp from the envelope filter, thats just my opinion. To take it away where can I try one of those Moogerfoogers out.

    I just had an idea:

    what would happen if you played with two octave pedals?
  11. ????????
  12. i think the moon would collide with the earth or something...
    does anyone know of a good place to find out the best order for all kinds of pedals. I have tried a lot of FAQ sites but none answered all of my questions... and yes i tried the search feature
  13. Heres my more simple setup after a little cracking down on a setup;

    Bass> EH Bass Micro Synth> Q-tron+Bassballs> Amp

    I also like these setups;
    1.) Bass> Fuzz> Chorus> Envelope Filter> Amp
    2.) Efx Send> Ring Modulator> Envelope Fillter> Phaser> Efx Return
    3.) Efx Send> Comp/Limt.> Octave> Efx Return
    4.) Bass> Fuzz> Envelope Filter> Phaser> Amp
    5.) Bass> Octave Fuzz> Flanger> Amp
    6.) Efx Send> Bass Synth> Efx Return
    7.) Efx Send> Ring Modulator> Chorus> Phaser> Efx Return

    Or my favorite Q-tron+MXR Bass Octave.

    What does the moogerfooger do? Is it like a funk wah?
  15. It's one of the best lowpass envelope filters out there.
