First off I'm not endorsed I paid for this bass and WOW I would buy another in a minute.Everyone is nervous to buy from an unknown builder but after owning 200 plus basses I'd rank among the best I've played and craftsmanship thats second to none. The wood choices, tone, playability are all top notch . Awesome guy and incredible builds that words can't describe. You have to check these out. This was the ultimate find.
Not my taste in styles but it looks like an extremely well-built bass. The control cavity cover is out of sync with the rest of the bass. Curves everywhere and he used sharp angles for the cover instead of following the lines of the body. Nice figuring in the body wings. What kind of wood is that? Rick B.
Its Purpleheart, wenge and maple.I actually like the control cover cut,it works well with the center lines well and kind of mixes an organic and industrial look.Working it with the lines of the body is too common,I like the thinking out of the box approach he did on this.Plus it plays and sounds like a million bucks.Check his site out he has a wide array of designs. http://moonshineguitars.com/
Moonshine is on here - you should look him up and thank him for the great bass! EDIT his name is Moonshine or Moonshine bass.
