Mooradian Cases

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [DB]' started by Rimas, Feb 26, 2003.

  1. On Mooradian cases, what is the purpose of the strap that is tied around the neck with the two d-rings once the bass is in the case? Ive never used it before, but at a festival last weekend, I saw many bassists using it.. any insight?

    thanks

  2. could be, but Ive never used it before, and i havent ever had a problem. I guess, now that I think about it, that it puts the support lower on the neck so maybe the machines arent gettin all bent out of shape and out of tune when you sling it on the shoulder? But ive got a wheel... hehehe

  3. I think it's there to stop the top of the case slipping around the bass. Sort of like the belt on a dressing-gown (bath-robe in the USA). I've always used the belt - seems to work OK...

  4. I use it to keep my bass tethered to the rack in the bass room at school.
