Well, we were just starting to get back into the swing of things after the long Covid hiatus, getting a few gigs and building up our social media presence once more. Yesterday our drummer was in a motorcycle crash ( broken shoulder blade, collar bone, ribs and a punctured lung ). Luckily he was wearing full leathers, boots & a helmet or I fear it would have been worse. He's obviously in hospital but is chatting & joking, which is positive, but I can't see him being fit to return for several months. So, we're now rushing around trying to find a stand-in drummer for a few upcoming gigs. It feels like one step forward, two steps back at the moment.
Well. Progress, although not the route I envisaged. The guitarist and myself have decided to play the next few gigs "unplugged". We're doing the same set of Pop-punk and Alt-rock covers but with acoustic guitar, bass and twin vocals. Our followers have embraced the idea so the "show will go on". Going be fun modifying some of the stuff.
