Not sure what you are talking about. It's a 2003. Technically could be new old stock. Maybe it has never been played. What's strange about the auction?

I don't see a problem with this auction either.

  4. It's odd in that this neck appears to have a truss rod adjustment both behind the nut AND at the end of the neck. Truly a bit unusual. :)

I don't see a truss rod adjustment at the heel. I DO see a pickguard with an access hole though. Just cause it's there doesn't mean there's anything to access.

The bass has the wrong pickguard.

The greater folly is the schlub is offering a Highway One bass for $300 over the cost of a new one.

Ah ok I see now. Yeah, the USA Standards have different tuners too. Maybe it is a USA standard body with a Mexi neck and new decals

sorry, haven't been following this thread ... its an eight year old Hwy 1 (pre-upgrade)neck and hardware on what is probably at least 4 year old American Series body, with that bridge .. and he is listing it as new ... I emailed him with a couple of questions, and his one line response was in essence "this is the way I was shipped the bass brand new" ... he denies its a parts bass... as mentioned at a price well over a new one ...

    Then don't buy it

  11. Maybe its because I part out so many fenders but whats there is easy for me to see.

Thats one of the first generation highway one P bass necks Pre-2006

The body is an american standard P bass body pre late 2007 , most likely pre 2006.

Very overpriced, neck is worth 200$ , body 400$ tops, case 100$ tops.

    Man I am a nerd.

    Yep.

An '03 would also have S-1 switching, and a black pickguard.
