Once in a local music store I seen an SX QMT fretless Jazz with gold hardware. They had priced $250 used, and not even in great condion. I tried to explain that these are only $150 new, but they just got mad.
says 44.78, but i live 30 min from ft. lauderdale so maybe it is a lot more for someone on the otherside of the US
Weird. I used USPS to guestimate, the most I come up with for Parcel Post is $32.33. Wonder why it's coming up with a figure of $130 for shipping to my neck of the woods...
Yeah it says $130 s/h for California. Maybe he's throwing a 50lb lead weight and shipping it in a fridge box.
$87 to ship to NY... I know a lot of people scam on shipping with eBay, but that's just insane! I don't even think my double bass cost that much to ship!
He's insane. Rondo only charges like $25 to ship their basses anywhere in the US. So with a case maybe add $10 to it. That would be $35 from East to West Coast, less from South to North.
I see that a lot on ebay. I saw a jazz SX going for 350 the other day, granted he put a lot of work into it but that dosnt warrant 200 more. You can bring a bass out of the depths with upgrades but you have to remember that the bass started in the depths and the resale value should reflect so.
Seems he is selling two of the exact same bass except this one is cheaper and less shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/SX-Vintage-Seri...oryZ4713QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Shipping is $130.24 to Mesa, Arizona. Bidding has ended for the item though. Looks like he ended the auction early.
