Very nice. Stupid luthier question: did you inlay a piece of the top wood into the fretboard for that effect?
Don't like it. To disjointed for me. Will mismached wood effect over all tone? Different just to be different. To each his own.
Thats OK. I dig it!! Affect tone... nope. The onboard active EQ will bypass ANY and ALL wood tone effects. Your hearing the preamp... not the wood. A moot point, but true.
I have been debating on adding one of his basses to my family..He is local to me and that would be neat to see it locally being made....
I personally find the rightmost wood (sorry for ignorance if I can't name it) doesn't fit. But everything else is very nice. Yay for wavy wood cuts!
CTBass: Buy them, they rule. I see him every weekend and I have seen this bass, it looks even better in person.
