  1. Hey all,
Early next week I'll be recieving my new bass. Becuase it has a sliding pick up, I was todl tone will be BADLY affected.

So I was thinking about making an onboard preamp?
In passive, of course. I was thinking maybe I could get a stack pot, bass/treble then another for mid and one for volume.

D'ya think this would be possible? Would wiring be a pain in the rear?
Of course, I wouldn't be touching the bass until I've actually played!! ;)

    cheers
